Time and money at the MFA, Boston

Christian Marclay has censured the Museum of Fine Art, Boston over its plans to charge $200 per person for a VIP showing of The Clock, the work that won him the Golden Lion for best artist at the 54th Venice Biennale. In a statement he said: "It has always been my express wish that there should be no additional charge to show my work The Clock over and above any general admission price to an institution or any other venue, nor should it be used in connection with promotion, advertisement, or sponsorship of any person or business...It is my intention that the work be made equally accessible to all."
